A Message from the mayor

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site and it is our sincere hope that what you are about to discover in West Nipissing and our Blue Sky Region will entice you to actually pay us many visits and even perhaps to have your name listed on our municipal rolls as an official resident or investor.

We have grown tremendously over the last decade in terms of municipal amalgamation and important investments in all of our economic sectors which has brought our housing, commercial and industrial construction permits to an all time record. Of course in having such important amenities as lake Nipissing, once reputed to the Cavier Capital of the World, along with its bounty of Walleye or Pickerel, the historical Sturgeon River, our envied recreation complex, our value-added trilingual culture and holding the title as the Step and Fiddle Competition community are only some of the reasons for our outstanding growth.

All members of our dynamic municipal council, administration, staff and of course our proud residents look forward to your presence and I personally would be honoured to accompany you on an official tour of West Nipissing.
