Flooding Emergency Update 4

May 11, 2019 12:45 pm

There are currently no changes in road conditions to report at this time. The weather forecast continues to indicate lessened precipitation and reduced wind speeds for today through Sunday. However, water levels may rise by 2-3 cm per day over the weekend. The Municipality reminds residents to remain cautious and to keep children and pets away from fast moving waterways. Emergency Services and Operations Crews will continue to patrol and assess conditions over the weekend. To protect infrastructure and to avoid potential safety hazards, the public is instructed to stay away from the affected areas unless they are volunteering.

Residents who or are in need of accommodations or volunteering assistance can call 705.753.1171.
