- Before you enter the pool always obey the lifeguards
- Never leave the deck at anytime, unless you tell your teacher or a lifeguard where you are going and always let them know when you are back.
- If your hair is long enough to be tied or braided, then it must be done before yu enter the pool area. (see your teacher or lifeguard for an elastic)
- Before entering the pool area, you must take a shower in the change room and don't forget to turn the showers off. If you don't, you will be taking a very cold shower after your swim.
- No t-shirts are to be worn in the water. Absolutely NO SHOES on the deck.
- No chewing gum while swimming or on pool deck.
School Rules and regulations
- Before you can swim in the deep end you must pass the swim test, which is to swim 2 widths of the pool with a lifeguard watching. The lifeguard will let you know if you pass or if you have to stay in the shallow end.
- No running on the deck. The deck is wet and very slippery. Extra caution going down the stairs and in the change rooms.
- No diving in the shallow end. Diving is permitted in the deep end only. You may dive off starting blocks #2 and #4 only. No back dives or back flips. No dving under rope. No spinning off the blocks.
- All flotation devices must remain in the shallow end. No kneeling or sitting on the floats. At the end of the swim please put the floats or toys on the side of the pool.
- If you are swimming in the wading pool you are not allowed to jump off the sides, or hold on the silver bars. No diving or jumping off the shallow end of the main pool and going back and forth the wading pool to the main is not permitted.
- When the rope is open the deep end is closed to all swimmers. No diving off the rope or back flips. You must let go of the rope when you swing out.
- You must be shoulder height to the red line to gon the big slide. No spinning or going down headfirst. Watch the lifeguard to signal you when it is safe and clear to go down.
- You must be 8 years or older to use the whirlpool alone. A teacher or parent must be with you in the whirlpool if you are 7 years and under. After you leave the whirlpool you must shower before entering the main or wading pool. Please don't forget to turn your showers off.
- A head count is done before entering the pool deck, and a head count when leaving the pool deck.
- A short whistle means stop, attention to the guard. ONe long whistle means clear the pool it's the end of the swim or there is an emergency.
- No pushing or shoving at anytime. No spitting or blowing of noses in the water.
GOLDEN RULE: always obey the lifeguard. You will get 1 warning and the 2nd time you will sit out for 5 minutes, and the 3rd time you will get changed and sit on the deck.
